With my first freelance job Skylight was looking for a sun logo to pair with their existing brand standards. Initially there were talks of incorporating an anchor or a boat helm into the design. This made for an easy starting point where after gathering inspiration I sketched out as many ideas as I could, and started refining my favorites from there. After a round of discussion on the early sample I provided, the team wanted to stick firmly with a bold and uniform sun design, while still feeling organic. This allowed me to boil down to 4 designs from there, which led to the final logo you can see today.
